Nepal to play semifinal against Bangladesh

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 18 (UNB): Nepal emerged Group B champions with all win record to reach the semifinal of the first-ever SAFF Women's Football Championship crushing Pakistan by 12-0 goals in the last group affairs at the Cox's Bazar Stadium here Saturday.
Nepal will face Group A runners-up Bangladesh in the 2nd semifinal Tuesday (Dec 21) at 1:30 pm while Group A champions India will play the first semifinal against their traditional rival and Group B runners-up Pakistan Monday, also at 1:30 pm at the Cox's Bazar Stadium.
In the day's last group match, Anu Lama made her 2nd hattrick scoring three goals in the 15th, 55th and 69th minutes, Laxmi Kumari and Jamuna Gurung struck two goals each while Meera Maharjan, Pramila Rai, Sajana Rana and Ranjana Darji scored one each for Nepal while another one was suicidal goal.
In the day's other match, Maldives played to 2-2 draw with Afghanistan at the same venue Saturday morning.
