Nepal U-23 football team to play friendly matches against B’desh

A 24-member Nepal Under-23 Football team will arrive in Dhaka today (Monday) to play SS Steel two international friendly matches against Bangladesh Under-23 team, reports UNB.
The first match will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Bananai and the 2nd on Friday at the Sylhet District Stadium.
State-run BTV World will telecast live both the matches.
Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Tabith Awal announced the details of the matches at a press conference at the BFF Bhaban Sunday.
"We expect a good game, and our target is to reach the second round of the Asiad football in Incheon, "Tabith Awal said.
Bangladesh has been placed in Group -B of the Asian Games football along with Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan.
Assistant Coach of Bangladesh national football team Rene Koster said
"We are very happy to get the opportunity to play matches (friendly) before the Asiad"
"We are facing some problems, we have to focus on our team performances and disciplines to improve" he said.
The rate of gallery ticket has been fixed at Tk 20 for each match.
BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Chairman of the match sponsor SS Steel Kazi Shakil spoke on the occasion while SS Steel's former director Kazi Sharazin was also present.
Bangladesh squad: Goal Keeper: Shahidul Alam and Rusel Mahmud.  Defener: Raihan Hasan, Kesto Kumar, Yasin Khan, Atikur Rahman, Tapu Barman, Tutul Hossain and Yamin Ahmed. Midfielder: Sohel Rana, Mamunul Islam, Atikur Farhad, Yusuf Sifat, Omar Faruk and Jamal Bhuiyan. Forward: Aminur Rahman, Vicent Hemanto, Wahed Ahmed, Taklis Ahmed and Jewel Rana.
Nepalese 24-member contingent comprises 20 booters and four officials.
Nepal U-23 team: Goalkeeper: Alan Neupane, Bikesh Kuthu and Dinesh Thapa Magar; Defender- Bikram Lama, Ranjit Dhimal, Ajit Bhandari, Rabin Shrestha, Aditya Chaudhary, Sagar Thapa, Sandip Rai and Biraj Maharjan; Midfielder- Heman Gurung, Sushil KC, Prakash Budhathoki, Jagajeet Shrestha and Shyam Nepali; Forward- Bharat Shah, Bhola Nath Silwal, Asim Jung Karki and Amar Dangol.
