Nestlé celebrates export to Sri Lanka

The Nestlé Bangladesh Limited has announced that the company will export 'NESPRAY' to Sri Lanka for the first time as it seeks new and diversified markets.
Nestlé, a leading Swiss-based food manufacturer, sees Sri Lanka as a big consumer market and a test bed for Nestlé products to be sold outside Bangladesh. This initiative is expected to benefit both the countries, says a statement.
The company celebrated its export to Sri Lanka at a ceremony in the capital recently.
Secretary, Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh, Shubhashish Bose and Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Dhaka Crisanthe De Silva attended the function as the chief guests.
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority Chairman Md Mahfuzul Hoque, President of the Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce & Industry Shehzad Munim, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industry Md Enamul Haque, Director, Halal Department of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh Md Nizam Uddin and Managing Director, Head of Global Banking, and Acting CEO of SCB Enamul Haque were present as the special guests.
Nestlé Bangladesh Ltd. Managing Director Deepal Abeywickrema, along with the guests, cut a cake at the event.
