Nestle provides clean drinking water

Nestle Bangladesh Limited has taken a step to ensure good life by providing clean drinking water in a few village schools.
The latest facility has been built in Bindhan High School at Gazipur District, where Nestle Bangladesh Limited has invested in drilling and constructing water tanks that store clean drinking water allowing the school children regular access to drinking water. The projects also include education component - water education programs to teach students about the importance of clean water the need for conservation and the [ink between clean water, hygiene, health and wellness.
In view of this, Bindhan High School management organized a gala ceremony where students, teacher's local people attended.
Mr. Laurent Therond spoke on the occasion and stressed on the association of Nestt6 with hygiene, health and wellness.
He emphasized the Nestle's commitment towards continuing such corporate social activities. He said that Nestle Bangladesh hopes to provide few more such a projects this year in Gazipur district. He urged the students to keep clean and maintain the water tank all the time. He also distributed prizes among the winners of the Art competition.
Mirza Golam Hossain, Senior Manager Corporate Affairs and Communication also spoke on the event. He emphasized that the clean drinking water facility will help to keep safe the beneficiaries from water borne diseases Like Diarrhoea, typhoid, Jaundice, Polio and dental diseases.
The school Managing Committee, teachers and local elites highly appreciated the initiative taken by the company.
