New AMD of City Bank

Faruq Moinuddin recently joined City Bank as Additional Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining City Bank, he was DMD of Mercantile Bank. After completing Masters in Economics from Dhaka University he started his career with AB Bank as Probationary Officer in1984. He received Bangladesh Bank Gold Medal and BCCI (erstwhile) Gold Medal in the Banking Diploma examination, 1987 for securing the first position. During his services with AB Bank he served in different capacities at home and abroad. He was posted at the Mumbai operation of AB Bank as Country Manager. Thereafter he headed the SME division and Credit Risk Management division of the bank. He was Deputy Managing Director of AB Bank from 2007 to 2010. A regular columnist on banking and economic issues in the national dailies, Faruq Moinuddin so far authored 13 books on economy and banking, share market, accounting, travel and literature.
