New appellate tribunal bench for Dhaka

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is raising the number of appellate tribunal benches in a bid to quicken disposal of income tax related cases. In the latest move the board Thursday issued an order on formation of a new appellate tribunal bench for Dhaka. There are six appellate tribunal benches in the country to resolve the tax related disputes. Of the total, four benches are in Dhaka and one each in Chittagong and Khulna.
