New BAPA chief to bridge gap with Biman

Capt Ashraf Khan has been elected president of Bangladesh Airline Pilots' Association (BAPA) for a two-year term.
Capt Zakir Hussain and Capt M A Basit Mahtab have also been elected vice-president and general secretary of the association respectively.
Newly elected BAPA president assured all-out support to the Biman Bangladesh in making the airlines vibrant and profit generating.
"Coming days are going to be vital for Biman as new international destinations are going to be introduced with new aircraft," Capt Ashraf Khan said.
He said Biman's captains have to play a vital role in ensuring profitability of Biman's investment.
Regarding ongoing disputes between Biman and its operating pilots, the new BAPA president expressed his optimism in settling all issues through peaceful negotiation.
