New CAAB chief takes over

Air Commodore Mahmud Hussain Wednesday joined office as the new chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).
He attended his new office at the morning and held meetings with top CAAB officials, office source confirmed.
Mr Hossain was made chief of the country's regulatory body for all civil aviation activities earlier as well for three months during the regime of the last caretaker government.
Out-going CAAB chairman Air Commodore Sakeb Iqbal Khan Majlish formally handed over the charge to the new chairman on Tuesday at the authority's office.
Khan Majlish was appointed as CAAB boss in 2009.
The government in an order on May 17 reverted the job of Majlish to the Air Force, said the officials.
