New Chairman of BPC

Mr. Aparup Chowdhury has joined Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation as Chairman. He is an Additional Secretary to the Government. He had his M.Sc. in Zoology, MBA in Human Resource Management and Ph.D. degree for a research work on ‘Functions of NGOs on Disaster Management in Bangladesh : An empirical study on performance and pitfall”. Prior to joining as Chairman, BPC, he was DC, Bagerhat, worked for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environment and Forests as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary. He also worked for a World Bank supported project “Strengthening Regional Cooperation for Wildlife Protection” among some the South-East Asian Countries as Project Director. He was a former member of Bangladesh Tourism Board,according to a statement.
