New chairman, vice chairman of NCC Bank

The Board of Directors of NCC Bank Ltd. has recently elected its Directors Yakub Ali as Chairman and Md. Harunur Rashid MP as Vice Chairman of the Bank, said a press release.
Chairman Yakub Ali started his business career in 1973. He is a renowned business personality and a successful entrepreneur of the country. He is the Chairman of Habib Group, Regent Power Ltd., Anowara Paper Mills Ltd., Anowara Apparels Ltd., Diamond Cement Ltd., Habib Steels Ltd., MTS Re-rolling Mills Ltd., Regent Spinning Millls Ltd. & Regent Textile Mills Ltd.
Yakub Ali is also the Chairman & Managing Director of Habib Shares & Securities Ltd. and Director of Bangladesh Fertilizer & Agri Chemicals Ltd. Yakub Ali is the former Vice President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industries, former Director of Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd., Member of Bhatiary Golf & Country Club, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society & Bangladesh Diabetes Association. He is the founder Member of K. S. Nazu Meah High School & Ishaque Meah Primary School in Chittagong.
Vice Chairman Lion Md. Harunur Rashid was born at Mandarkhil, Faridgonj, Chandpur in 1957. After obtaining Masters Degree from the University of Dhaka he started his business career. Now he is the Chairman of NCC Consortium, Vice Chairman of Global Insurance Ltd., Managing Director of HR Housing, Director of Wills Intech Ltd. and Proprietor of Nazma Construction Company, Apurba Embroidery and H. R. Bricks. He was the District Governor of Lions Clubs International Bangladesh.
Md. Harunur Rashid is the Vice Chairman of Faridgonj Upazilla Samity, Dhaka, Member of Uttara Club Ltd. & All Community Club Limited. He is the Vice Chairman and founder Member of Hazera Hasmat Degree College, Faridgonj and founder of Harunur Rashid General & Eye Hospital, Late Sayed Ahmed Patwary College Bhaban, Ln. Harunur Rashid Vocational Training Institute and Ln. Harunur Rashid Ideal Kindergarten. He was awarded with Atish Dipankar Gold Medal for outstanding activities for social welfare.
