New chairman, vice-chairmen of Islamic Finance

SM Bakhtiar Alam has been elected new chairman of the board of directors of Islamic Finance and Investment Limited (IFIL) at the 82nd meeting of the board of the company in the city recently.
Prior to his new position, he was a vice-chairman of the company.
Alam is the proprietor of Prophecy Furnishers and treasurer of Eastern University.
Anis Salahuddin Ahmad and Md Shamsuzzaman have been elected vice-chairmen of the board of directors at the same meeting of the company which got listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange in 2005.
Anis Salahuddin is a director of Youth Spinning Mills Limited, Comfit Composite Knit Limited, International Holdings Limited and a member of Eastern University Foundation.
Shamsuzzaman is a managing director of Cherry (Pvt) Limited, Calyx Fashion Limited and Eastern Planters Limited and a member of Eastern University Foundation.
