Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury and Oamrun Nahar have been unanimously elected chairman (re-elected) and vice-chairperson of Janata Insurance Company Limited (JICL).
The election was held at the JICL board of directors' meeting in the city recently.
Chowdhury is a former director of United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) and chairman of Sagar Foods Limited. He is the managing director of Marine Foods Limited, Quality Stationary Limited and Seagold Aqua Culture Limited.
Qamrun Nahar is a director of UCBL, Ananta Sportswear Limited and Ananta Fashion Limited, managing director of Ananta Apparels Limited and chairman of Dhaka Mohila College.
