New Country Manager of DHL

Mr. Nooruddin Chowdhury has been appointed as the Country Manager of Bangladesh, DHL Global Forwarding with effect from February 14, 2011. Mr. Chowdhury is considered to be an industry veteran, having been in the logistics, supply chain & liner shipping line for over 20 years. Mr. Chowdhury, based in Bangladesh, will be involved in the development of the DHL Global Forwarding business in Bangladesh and responsible for managing the company's overall operations. He joined DHL from the partner of DB Schenker - then BAX Global Ltd before it was acquired - where he had been approached to take on the position of COO in 2006. Prior to this, he was the Director, Customer Facing Group in APL (Bangladesh) Pvt. Ltd & APL Logistics where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure customer service excellence and data integrity.
