Tapan Kumar Ghosh has been promoted as deputy managing director of Janata Bank Limited, said a press release.
Prior to the new posting, he was general manager of Sonali Bank.
Mr Tapan began his career in 1977 as senior officer in Sonali Bank.
He studied in Management and Mass Communication and Journalism departments in Dhaka University. Mr Tapan stood first in higher secondary examinations of commerce group in 1970.
He also attended training courses on financial issues in USA.
