New DMD of National Bank

SM Jaffar has recently joined National Bank Limited (NBL) as deputy managing director (DMD), said a press release.
Prior to joining the new post, he was senior executive vice president of Southeast Bank Limited.
Mr Jaffar had started his banking career as a trainee officer in Arab Bangladesh Bank Limited (Now AB Bank Ltd) in 1985. Subsequently he worked as manager of different branches of Al Baraka Bank Bangladesh Limited and Southeast Bank Limited.
During his 26 years long career, Mr Jaffar attended different seminars, symposiums at home and abroad and received training over there.
He was born in a respectable Muslim family in Chittagong in 1958, the release added.
