New DMDs of Social

Islami Bank AMM Farhad and Mohammad Mohasin Mia have been promoted to the post of deputy managing directors (DMDs) of Social Islami Bank Limited, said a press release. Their promotion was approved in a recent board meeting of the bank. Prior to their promotion, Mr Farhad and Mr Mohasin Mia had been working as senior executive vice presidents of Social Islami Bank Ltd. Mr Farhad started his banking career with Agrani Bank as a probationary officer. He worked with NCC Bank Ltd, Standard Chartered Bank and IFIC Bank Ltd. in different senior positions. He also worked as director of International Network Development with Placid NK Corporation (Placid Express), a US-based world wide money transfer company before joining Social Islami Bank Ltd. Mr Mohasin Mia joined Sonali Bank as Senior Officer under Talent Scheme in 1984. He worked in Bank Indosuez, Dhaka Bank Ltd and Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. He secured highest position in MA in Bengali Literature from Jahangirnagar University and also obtained MBA degree.
