A 15-member executive committee of the Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) was elected for two years in its fifth annual general meeting (AGM) Tuesday.
Khushee Kabir, Abdul Majid Mallik, A Milon Khan and Shamsul Huda have respectively been elected chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer and member secretary of the association's executive council.
Other 11 members of the committee include Abul Barakat, Raja Devashish Roy, Shah-e-Mobin Zinnah, Rowshan Ara, Sadeka Halim, Sabbir Ahmed Chowdhury, Md Rafiqul Alam, Kazi Shamsul Alam, Md Abdul Kader, Monika Siddiqui and Md Taslim Uddin.
An election commission formed with M Tajul Islam and Iqbal Kabir Chowdhury conducted the polling.
ALRD has been working for the last two decades in assisting the government and some 260 non-government organisations at field levels to improve their efficiency in implementation of land reforms.
