Eminent banker Mohammad Abdul Mannan has taken over the charge of Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited from May 19.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan who carries with him 27 years of experience in Banking, started his banking career in 1983 as Public Relations Officer with Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, the first Shari'ah based bank in South East Asia. He held with success the positions of Manager of Islampur, Jessore branches and was awarded gold medals as the best manager of the bank for a number of occasions.
In 1995, he moved to Saudi Arabia as Head of Marketing of the Bank in K.S.A., the Gulf States including Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the U.A.E. and played significant role in facilitating foreign remittance to the country through banking channel.
