New Insurance Association chairman elected

AKM Rafiqul Islam has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) for the term of 2007-2008 recently, said a press release.
Islam is the founder managing director of Pragati Insurance Limited.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and is a Cost Management Accountant from the UK. He is an alumna of the PATC of Bangladesh as well of the Manila-based Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific.
He is a Director of the FBCCI and former Vice-Chairman of the MCCI.
