New joint venture co to invest in Uttara EPZ

NILPHAMARI, Oct 27: An amount of 2.3 million US dollar is to be invested in the Uttara Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Nilphamari district by a Pakistan- Bangladesh joint venture company. Messrs. Unique Dye & Chemicals Ltd. signed an agreement with Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA)in this regard recently.
Uttara EPZ sources said BEPZA Managing Director (Development) AZM Azizur Rahman and the company's Resident Director Md. Rezwan Ahamed signed the lease contact for their respective sides while other concerned persons were present on the occasion. The company would produce different types of chemicals.
Sources said a total of 328 Bangladeshi nationals are to be employed in the industry.
