New leaders of IBA Alumni Assoc elected

Nazmul Hassan, the Chief Executive Officer of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd & the Secretary General of Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) was elected the new President of IBA Alumni Association.
M Rafiqul Islam, CEO of Management Consulting Group was elected General Secretary of the association in an election held on Friday, said a press release.
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University is the apex business school of the country.
The other elected representatives of the Executive Committee are - Niaz Habib and Johra Bebe (Vice Presidents); Md. Kamrul Ahsan (Joint Secretary); Shariful Moslemin Khan (Treasurer); M Salahuddin Chowdhury (Organizing Secretary); Asif Touhid (Seminar Secretary); James Jakob Ribero (Publication Secretary); Afzalul Hasan Khan (Cultural & Sports Secretary); Syed Monzurul Huq, Neaz Ahmed, Nurul Haq Majumder, M. Shakil Wahed, Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Syed Masud Hossain, Masudul Haque Bhuiyan, Sk Shabab Ahmed, Quazi Mahmud Ahmed, Gazi Munir Uddin, Mohammad Emran & Rahat Khan (Members).
The election (for 2008-09) was conducted by Professor Dr. Rahim B Talukdar, former Director of IBA and Vice Chancellor, Eastern University as the Chief Election Commissioner.
Mr. Nazmul Hassan, the newly elected president said "the members of our alumni association represent Graduates of IBA, the apex business school, the largest leader & entrepreneur production centre of the country.
