New management board for BSS

The government has constituted a new management board of national news agency- Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) with president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists' (BFUJ) Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury as its chairman, an official statement said here Thursday, reports BSS.
The 11-member board of the state-owned news agency was constituted for three-year tenure.
The members of the board are Managing Director and Chief Editor of BSS Ihsanul Karim, the Joint Secretary (administration and Press) of the Information Ministry, the Joint Secretary of Finance Division of the Finance Ministry, the Joint Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Ministry, Editor of the Daily Banik Barta Dewan Hanif Mahmud, Editor of the Daily Ajkaler Khobor Faruq Ahmed Talukder, Editor of the daily Bangobani Mostaq Ahmed Mobaraki, Editor of the Chitagong-based Daily Azadi MA Malek and Editor of the Khulna-based Daily Tribune Begum Ferdousi Ali and BSS City Editor Ajit Kumar Sarkar.
