New MD of BRAC Bank

Syed Mahbubur Rahman has been appointed Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank Limited with effect from today (Sunday).
Prior to this appointment he worked as the Deputy Managing Director at the same bank. Mr. Rahman takes over the responsibility from Mr. A.E.A. Muhaimen, who is leaving the Bank to take up an overseas assignment.
Mr. Rahman has been working in the banking industry for about 21 years. He began his career by joining Saudi Bangladesh Agricultural and Industrial Investment Co. (SABINCO). He also worked with IDLC, Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, Citibank N.A., in different capacities. Before joining BRAC Bank he worked as Deputy Managing Director in Prime Bank.
