New MD of ICB

The government has appointed Mr. Md Fayekuzzaman the Managing Director of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).
Prior to this assignment he was Deputy managing Director of Agrani Bank Ltd. He started his career with C.I. Ltd. In 1977 and later joined Bangladesh Development Centre (now Bangladesh Institute of Management) as Management Counselor in 1980. He joined ICB as a Senior Principal Officer in January, 1985 and worked there for about 22 years in all important areas of management.
He has extensive experience while working in various departments of ICB, as CEO of ICB Capital Management Ltd. and Chairman of ICB Asset Management Company Ltd. (Subsidiary of ICB) and Director/Chairman of various banks and public limited companies.
His strong academic credential as well as relevant practical experience gives him the required background to make positive contribution to the assigned fields.
He also worked in different projects of BMDC/ILO/UNDP/ADP/ADB in different capacities and has visited different countries of the world including UK, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Bharain, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
