New method in drive against unfit vehicles

Vehicles will be checked for papers just about anywhere, said the road transport minister, describing an ongoing drive as a new means of tracking down unfit vehicles.
Obaidul Quader spoke of shifting gear to strengthen the current operation by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authorities (BRTA) while on an inspection Wednesday.
Mobile courts were active at Jatrabari and Shahbagh on the ninth day of the ongoing measure.
“We’ve changed our technique. Vehicles will be stopped for inspection just anywhere. We already have two executive magistrates. Mobile courts run by five executive magistrates will take part in the operation,” he said, according to a news agency.
