New office-bearers of BMCCI

Nasir A Choudhury, adviser of Green Delta Insurance Company Limited, and Raquib Mohammad Fakhrul (Rocky), chairman of Ayurvedia Pharmacy (Dacca) Limited, have been elected president and honorary secretary general of the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) respectively for 2014-2015 term.
They were elected at the 12th annual general meeting of the trade body in the city on Thursday, said a press statement issued by the BMCCI on Saturday.
Besides, ASM Mainuddin Monem, deputy managing director of Abdul Monem Limited and representative of Robi Axiata Limited, has been elected vice president of the BMCCI, while Farukul Islam Shova, chairman of Ahmed Trade International, and Syed Almas Kabir, proprietor of AyAl Corp, have been elected joint secretary general and treasurer respectively.
Other elected members of the board of directors of the BMCCI are: Abdus Salam, managing director of GMS Enterprise (Pvt) Ltd, Helel Ahmed Chowdhury, managing director of Pubali Bank Limited, Ashraful H Chowdhury, chief corporate affairs officer of Airtel Bangladesh Limited, Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, proprietor of Raja Corporation, Mohammed Lakiotullah, executive director of Hajj Finance Company Limited, Md Nurun Newaz, chairman of Electro Mart Ltd, Dr Sankar Chandra Podder, proprietor of Guardian Network, Md Mazharul Islam, managing director of Bengal Meat Processing Industries Ltd, Engr Mohammad Badrul Hassan, director of BBS Cables Ltd and Yesmin Ipphat, proprietor of LW Hair & Skin Beauty Spa Salon.
