New office-bearers of ICAB Dhaka Committee

The Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected its new office-bearers for the 2026-27 term at a general meeting held at the ICAB Auditorium in Dhaka recently.
Md Kamruzzaman FCA has been elected chairman, Mohammad Eklas Uddin FCA secretary, and Rashidul Islam FCA treasurer of the committee, says a press statement.
Md Kamruzzaman is a fellow member of the ICAB. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the session Nov-Dec 2014.
Md Kamruzzaman Eklas Uddin Rashidul Islam
He is currently working as Managing Partner, M Rashid Zaman & Co, Chartered Accountants. He is a former Associate Director of KPMG Bangladesh, former Assistant Manager of KPMG Singapore, and former Financial Controller of Avery Dennison Bangladesh and Syngenta Bangladesh.
He has completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Dhaka.
Mohammad Eklas Uddin is a fellow member of the ICAB. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the Nov-Dec 2013 session. He completed his M.Com in accounting from Jagannath University.
Mr. Eklas is currently working as the Principal & CEO of M. Eklas & Co. Chartered Accountants. Over his 20-year career, he worked at Energypac, Opsonin Pharma, and East West University.
He is also working as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Union Capital Limited and Unicap Securities Limited. Rashidul Islam is a seasoned Professional having about 15 years of diversified corporate experience across the multinational and renowned local corporate houses and currently serves as the Audit & Process Lead at Square Food & Beverage Ltd.
Mr. Rashed holds BBA & MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. Having completed post-graduation, he started his professional journey with Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co.
Other members of DRC-ICAB are Mahmudur Rahman FCA, Md. Akizur Rahman FCA, Fahmida Khan FCA, Md. Mustaq Ahmed FCA, Md. Maksodur Rahman FCA, and Md. Main Uddin FCA.
