New office-bearers of Shippers' Council

Mahabub Ali has been elected chairman of the Shippers' Council of Bangladesh while Md Rezaul Karim and SM Mahfuzul Huq have been elected senior vice chairman and vice chairman respectively of the Council.
They were elected in the election of the Council held in the city recently, said a press release.
The other directors of the Council are: Ariful Ahsan, Syed Mostafizur Rahman, Jasim U Ahmed, Kamran Uddin, Md Humayun Kabir, Mohammed Zainul Abedin, Nanda Kishore Agarwala and Firoz Alam.
After being elected, the new chairman conveyed his sincere thanks to the outgoing office-bearers and directors who worked hard for the last two years for smooth flow of international trade and for representing the Council in all related international fora.
He also urged the shipping lines/agents to keep the Council alive by extending their sincere cooperation and support.
