New office hours for banks during Ramadan

The central bank of Bangladesh announced the office hours of all scheduled banks during the ensuing holy month of Ramadan, said a Bangladesh Bank (BB) press release Tuesday.
The scheduled banks will remain open from 9:30 am to 4.00 pm from Sunday to Thursday including the prayer break from 1.15 pm to 1.30 pm. The transaction hours will be from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
The BB issued a circular in this connection Monday. During the prayer break, transactions will be done through internal coordination as was done before Ramadan, the circular said,
