New Principal of MTB Training Institute

Naba Gopal Banik has joined the Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) as Principal of its Training Institute (MTBTI) recently, according to a press release.
Prior to joining MTB, Mr Banik was an Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank responsible for supervision of the works relating to the issuance of prudential regulations and guidelines to ensure a sound banking system in the country.
He has 33 years service experience as a banker in diversified areas of Bangladesh Bank including formulation of policies regarding internal control system of the banks, Foreign Exchange Policy, implementation of the policy on Direct Foreign Investment etc.
Mr Banik who obtained MSc in Statistics has also worked in On and Off-site banking supervision and held a number of key positions of different important committees including Bangladesh Bank observer on the board of a private bank, Member of Government Treasury Bill/Bond Auction Committee etc.
