New RPO amendment eases registration rules
Tuesday, 7 October 2008
The interim cabinet Monday approved in principle a second amendment to the Representation of the People (amendment) Ordinance 2008, allowing political parties to register with draft party constitutions. In this case, the party will have to submit a ratified constitution to the Election Commission within six months from the first sitting of the ninth parliament. According to the new amendment, people who have been defaulting on loans and bills, must pay up 15 days ahead of submission of nomination papers. — bdnews24.com
