New tech to detect diabetes introduced

JESSORE, Mar 5: Asia Arsenic Network has introduced a new technology to examine diabetes. Diabetes could be detected through urine test by using this technology.
It was informed at a training programme held at the conference room of Jessore sadar upazila on Wednesday last.
Kamrul Arif, upazila nirbahi officer, Jessore sadar, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. The programme was  attended, among others, by Dr Kamrul Islam, health and family planning officer, Jessore sadar upazila, Tarun Hore, programme manager, Asia Arsenic Network, Moshiur Rahman, project manager, Shabnam Mamtaz, family planning officer, Jessore sadar upazila, Shahnaz Parvin, healthcare provider, AAN, Obaidur Rahman and Shafiar Rahman.
Representatives from 18 community clinics, 4 family welfare centres, two union health inspectors and four assistant inspectors under Jessore sadar upazila underwent the training. Each organisation was given 200 diabetes check -up kits after the training.
