New US envoy Mozena due Nov 19

The US ambassador designate to Bangladesh, Dan W Mozena, will be arriving in Dhaka on Nov 19. He was sworn in at the US capital on Nov 7, reports bdnews24.com. Mozena will replace James F Moriarty, who left Dhaka in June. "Mozena is coming on Nov 19 and is expected to join the embassy on Nov 25," said a senior official of the foreign ministry. "The ambassador post remained vacant for several months and now we are going to have a new ambassador in the mission of a very important country for Bangladesh," he said. Earlier on Nov 7, deputy secretary Bill Burns officiated the swearing-in ceremony for Dan Mozena at the US state department. Assistant secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake and assistant secretary Ann Stock attended the ceremony.
