New world-class plant of Eskayef to go into production early next year

Eskayef Bangladesh Ltd, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and exporter of the country, participated in the Conference on Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CPhl) Worldwide-2007 from October 2-4 in 'Fiera Milano Rho' in Italy.
CPhl Worldwide is the largest gathering of pharmaceutical and chemical companies of the world held in Europe every year. Some 45,000 visitors from 135 countries attended the exhibition this year.
This is the largest showcase where pharmaceutical manufacturers introduce their new products to the whole world.
A four-member delegation led by Eskayef Managing Director (MD) AM Faruque participated in the CPhl Worldwide this year. Other delegation members were General Manager (Marketing) Shagufa Anwar, International Business Manager Mahmud Hasan and Assistant Manager (Commercial) Shehab Shahrear Islam.
"As the pioneer pharmaceutical company from Bangladesh, we have been participating in the CPhl Worldwide with a pavilion for the last three years. Our focus is to uphold the image of our country and show our high-quality international standard products to the rest of the world," said AM Faruque.
"CPhl Worldwide is the event where all the decision makers of the renowned pharmaceutical companies of the world meet and exchange their views. We have received queries from many companies around the globe and many have shown their interest to work with Eskayef," the Eskayef MD added.
Faruque said, "To facilitate export to western countries, we are at the final stage of completion of our new world-class pharmaceutical plant at Tongi expected to be commissioned in January 2008. 'Elomatic', one of the leading European pharmaceutical consultants, is providing the technical know-how to the pharmaceutical company."
At present, Eskayef is exporting its products to 10 countries of Asia, Europe, Africa and Central America.
