New Year and political unrest

Sunday, 28 December 2014

It is indeed alarming to watch that gradually the politics of the country is getting heated up and it is no good news for our economy which is still struggling to recuperate from the wounds of the severe political unrest of 2013. The nightmarish memory is still fresh in the mind of the common people. No one of our country wants to see a repeat performance of the sad saga of the recent past.  I hope, both opposition and the ruling party will understand this and sit across the table to sort out problems. Both should understand that any further unrest will cripple our economy which is yet to recover from the ruins of massive unrest in 2013.
Our country has huge potential which is lying untapped due to political instability. It is high time we shunned medieval politics of violence and street fighting. With the New Year round the corner, we should take a firm resolve that we shall not indulge in anything that harms the country and its people. The New year is knocking on our door but instead of being happy, we are worried about what is going to happen in the coming days. The opposition party is bracing up for new political programmes and it surely will create unrest from the beginning of the New Year. It is high time we realized that politics of violence does not attract common people any more as they do not want their achievements to be destroyed by self-seeking politicians.
