Newly-wed girl commits suicide in Savar

SAVAR, Sept 2 (UNB): A newly-wed girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling of a room in Hemayetpur area here early Monday.
The victim was identified as Farjana Akter, 16, wife of Raihan, a resident of Char Naria village in Naria upazila of Shariatpur district.
Locals said Farzana, daughter of Mafizuddin, a resident of the same village, got married with Raihan, a painter, two months ago. After marriage, they used to live at a rented house of Muslim Para Janata Housing in Hemayetpur area of Savar.
Farzana hanged herself from the ceiling of a room with a scarf following a brawl with her husband Raihan. Later, police recovered the hanging body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
