CSE gets new director
Md. Sayadur Rahman has been appointed as director of CSE Board. The Board of Directors of Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. (CSE) in its meeting held Wednesday decided to co-opt Md. Sayadur Rahman as director. Md. Sayadur Rahman is the Managing Director of EBL Securities Limited. Mr. Rahman is also a Director of EBL Investments Limited, a full-fledged merchant bank (representing Eastern Bank Limited) and he was the immediate past president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA). Mr. Rahman is a capital market specialist of the country. He has around 33 years of professional experience in different capacities in different financial institutions like insurance, banking, leasing, merchant banking and brokerage etc. Mr. Rahman joined EBL in 2008 as Head of Investment Banking. In 2013, he was promoted as the MD of EBL Securities Limited. — Statement

New MD & CEO of FAS Finance
Mr. Pritish Kumar Sarker has joined in FAS Finance & Investment Limited (FFIL) as Managing Director & CEO recently. Before joining FFIL, Mr. Sarker was DMD and Chief Risk Officer in Southeast Bank Limited. After obtaining M.Sc. in Botany from University of Dhaka, he started his career in Janata Bank as Probationary Officer in 1984. Subsequently he did his MBA (Major in Finance) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. In his 33 years of vast experiences in Banking, Mr. Sarker has gained expertise in Credit Management, Corporate Finance, SME & Retail Finance and Syndication Finance. He also worked in Dhaka Bank Limited during 1997-98. He is also a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (DAIBB).— Statement
