BSEC commissioner Nizami gets extension
The government has extended the tenure of BSEC commissioner Professor Helal Uddin Nizami for two more years. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday. Mr. Nizami joined the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) immediately. As per the notification, his designation will be equivalent to additional secretary. Mr. Nizami joined the BSEC on May 4, 2011 for three years. Later, his tenure was extended for four years which was ended on May 3, 2018. On Monday, the government extended his tenure for the second time.— FE Report

Doreen Power staff face fines
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has imposed fines on some employees of Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited for violation of securities rules. A fine of Tk 100,000 each was imposed on Mohammad Fazle Elahi Khan (Senior GM), Iqbal Hossain (GM), Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan (Assistant GM and Company Secretary), Mahtab Bin Ahmed (Independent Director) and Afroz Alam (CFO) while Tk 1.0 million each on Chowdhury Farah Naaz Samia and Wahiduzzaman Khan (DGM). The fines were imposed for making noncompliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Rules, 1995. — DSE Online

Disbursement of dividend
Grameen Mutual Fund One: Scheme Two: AIMS of Bangladesh Limited, the asset manager of Grameen Mutual Fund One: Scheme Two has informed that the cash dividend warrants will be distributed from September 23, 2018 to September 27, 2018 from the office of the fund at Unique Trade Centre (UTC), Level- 6 (South West), 8 Panthopath, Karwan Bazaar, Dhaka-1215 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Undistributed warrants will be mailed through courier service to the Unit holders' registered addresses after September 30, 2018. Unit holders' who applied for online dividend, will receive their dividend in their respective Bank Account within September 27, 2018.
Grameenphone Ltd.: The company has informed that it has remitted interim cash dividend for the half year ended on June 30, 2018 to the respective shareholders bank account through online transfer, BEFTN and dividend warrants.
