US-Bangla to connect Dhaka to Guangzhou
US-Bangla Airlines, a private carrier, will begin its flight operations on Dhaka-Guangzhou route today (Thursday). Initially, three flights will be operated from Dhaka to Guangzhou on every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday and return flights from Guangzhou to Dhaka on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Guangzhou is one of the most important cities in the eastern region of China, says the US-Bangla Airlines on Wednesday. The flights on Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka will be operated with 164-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft. There are eight business-class and 156 economy seats in the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. — UNB

PDL signs loan deal with LAFL
Property Development Limited (PDL), a sister concern of PRAN-RFL Group, has signed a loan agreement amounting to Tk 200 million with Lankan Alliance Finance Limited (LAFL), a newly formed financial institution in Bangladesh. PDL Chairman Uzma Chowdhury and LAFL CEO Romesh Elapata signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at a function at LAFL's Corporate Office in Gulshan on Wednesday, said a press release. — UNB
