ICCB team leaves for Tokyo to attend regional meeting
ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman, Vice President Latifur Rahman and Secretary-General Ataur Rahman left Dhaka on Tuesday for Tokyo to attend the 10th ICC Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group Meeting and the 4th ICC Asia Pacific CEO Forum to be held in Tokyo on March 8-9. ICC Bangladesh Vice President Latifur Rahman will also attend ICC Executive Board Meeting as its Member, the chamber said in a statement. ICC Asia Pacific CEO Forum will bring together over 200 high-level global and Asia-Pacific CEOs and leaders of international organisations, together with Japanese business leaders and key ministers including Paul Polman, CEO, Uniliver; John W.H. Denton AO First Vice-Chair ICC; Karien Van Gennip, Vice-Chair ICC; Raghu Mody, Chair, ICC Task Force, ICC Asia Pacific CEO Forum; John Danilovich, Secretary-General ICC; Jemal Inaishili, President, Confederation of the Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Shujiro Urata, Professor of Waseda University; Mikio Sasaki, Chair, ICC Japan and Akio Mimura, Chair of the Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry . — Statement
Vietnamese food fest begins at Sonargaon
The year 2018 is expected to be a significant year in terms of diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Bangladesh as Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang just-concluded a three-day state visit aimed at deepening trade and investment cooperation. Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka is hosting a Vietnamese Food Festival 2018 along with a Vietnamese Cultural Week in honour of the Vietnamese president Tran Dai Quangin in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in Bangladesh and Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The eventful festival is providing a three-day cultural fair in the hotel's ballroom along with a gastronomical adventure of Vietnamese food at Café Bazar Restaurant, which started from Tuesday. With two Vietnamese Master Chefs and a cultural team of 26 Vietnamese artists arriving all the way from Hanoi, the professional chefs with years of experience will be providing live demonstrations to delight and amaze guests who will enjoy this festival at Café Bazar Restaurant. Creative cooking workshops and traditional Vietnamese performance will also be staged throughout the whole festival. Dinner buffet prices will range from Tk. 3,500/= per person all-inclusive except beverages.— Statement
