Suicide attack leaves 12 dead in Kabul
KABUL, June 12: At least 12 people were killed and 31 wounded when a suicide attacker blew himself up outside a government ministry in Kabul on Monday. Health ministry spokesman Waheed Majroh gave the latest toll for the attack at the main gate of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. — AFP

Pakistan SC upholds death sentence for child killer
ISLAMABAD, June 12: Pakistan's Supreme Court has upheld a death sentence for a man who killed eight children, including a 7-year-old girl whose rape and murder drew nationwide condemnation earlier this year.
