DU Cha unit MCQ test
results published
The MCQ test results of 'Cha' unit under Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University have been published on Thursday. The results are available on university website admission.eis.du.ac.bd or can be collected through short message service (SMS). For SMS notification of the results, a candidate will have to type DU CHA [exam roll] and send it to 16321. This year, a total of 7,440 students applied against 130 seats of 'Cha' unit of which only 1500 students were selected for drawing test scheduled to be held on July 2. — UNB

Eight gold bars
seized at HSIA
Customs intelligence recovered eight gold bars from a female passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning. She was identified as Nurunnahar who landed at the airport from Dubai. According to customs sources, the woman was challenged by a customs team led by assistant director Abdul Mannan at the airport when she was passing through boarding bridge of the airport. Later, eight gold bars weighing 932gm worth over Tk 6.5 million were recovered after from her body. — FE REPORT

29 new patients with
dengue hospitalised
Twenty-nine more dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours until Thursday morning. Among them, 26 patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). As many as 109 dengue patients, including 101 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country. — UNB
