Unidentified man found dead
in Natore rail line
An unidentified man was found dead near Thengamara Rail Gate in Bagatipara upazila of Natore district on Thursday. Local people spotted the body of the 40-year-old man near the pillar no 229 of the rail gate and informed police who recovered the body from the area in the morning, said Muktar Hossain, in-charge of Santahar Government Railway Police Station. It is suspected that the man might have died after being hit by a running train, he said. The body was sent to the local hospital morgue. —UNB

Road crashes kill two in two dists
A madrasa student died after a lorry ran over her at the post office area of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway of Wahedpur Union1-5 at Mirsharai upazila of Chattogram on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Tanjina Akter, 14, of the Bhangarpul area of Wahedpur union. She was a class nine student at Shaheed Sufi Maulana Nur Ahmed (R) Dakhil Madrasa. According to locals, the lorry belonging to BSRM ran her over while she was crossing the road to go to madrasa. Tanjina died on the way to the hospital, he added. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old college student died after his motorcycle lost control and hit a tree in the Kamar Haila area on the Jatrapur-Ghogadah road in the Sadar upazila of Kurigram on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Lutfar Rahman of the Nowanipara area of Jatrapur union. — UNB
