Govt changes HSC exam schedule for five days citing Shab-e-Barat
The government has changed the HSC examination schedule for five days citing Shab-e-Barat celebration. The April 17 tests have been rescheduled for May 09, April 18 tests will take place on May 11 and April 22 tests on May 12. The May 04 and May 06 tests will be taken in the afternoon instead of morning, inter-education board coordination subcommittee chief Prof Md Ziaul Haque said on Monday. — bdnews24.com

Customs recover 20kg gold from Ctg airport
Customs intelligence officials recovered 20 kg gold from an aircraft at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram early Monday. Dr Shahidul Islam, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, said a team recovered the gold from the toilet of a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-128) which arrived here from Abu Dhabi. — UNB

Fireman injured in Banani fire dies at Singapore hospital
Firefighter Sohel Rana, who sustained severe injuries during Banani FR Tower fire rescue operation, died at Singapore General Hospital early Monday. He succumbed to his injuries at 4:17am (Singapore time), said Mahfuz Riven, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters. Rana was flown to Singapore from Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Friday. — UNB
