PM to brief media tomorrow
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday) to brief journalists about the outcomes of her just-concluded visits to Saudi Arabia, the UK and Australia. The press conference will be held at her official residence Ganobhaban at 4:00pm. — UNB
DMP bans firecrackers tonight
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned carrying of all types of explosives, crackers and explosion of firecrackers in the city ahead of Shab-e-Barat to be observed tonight (Tuesday night). The restriction will remain in force from 6:00 pm today (Tuesday) to 6:00 am tomorrow (Wednesday), according to a media release issued on Monday. — UNB
Lightning victim families to get govt aid
The government will provide Tk 0.2 million as assistance to the family members of each of the farm labourers killed by lightning strikes across the country, Labour and Employment Minister Mujibul Haque Chunnu said this on Monday. on the eve of May Day, at the Secretariat. — UNB
