HC decides on Khaleda's candidacy today
The High Court will decide today (Tuesday) whether jailed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia can participate in the upcoming general election. Her nominations for Feni-1, Bogura-6 and 7 constituencies have been rejected by returning
officers. The Election Commission also upheld the decisions, prompting the former prime minister to move the High Court on Monday. — UNB
16 entities to get productivity award today
Sixteen organisations, covering all major categories of industrial units, will receive the 'National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2017' today (Tuesday) for their significant contribution to the industrial sector through maintaining productivity and quality of products. Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will hand over the awards to the representatives of the recipient organisations at a function at the BIAM Foundation Auditorium in the city. — BSS
