Govt nationalises 14 more colleges
The government has nationalised 14 more colleges across the country. Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education issued an order in this regard on Wednesday, according to an official release. Earlier, the government nationalised 271 colleges. The number of government colleges now stands at 612, the release added. — BSS
Ansar and VDP to get 30,000 shotguns
The government is buying 30,000 shotguns for the members of Ansar and VDP at a cost of over Tk 1.47 billion. The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase cleared a proposal to buy the weapons at a meeting, chaired by Finance Minister A M A Muhith on Wednesday. — bdnews24.com
