PM set to return home tomorrow
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who reached Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning from Rome concluding her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City, is set to return home tomorrow (Saturday) after making a stopover in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital. "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return home on Saturday evening after making a stopover in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi," PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said on phone. An Etihad Airways flight carrying the premier and her entourage landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport on Thursday morning when Bangladesh Ambassador to UAE Mohammad Imran and senior officials received her at the airport. — BSS
Five labs get accreditation certificates
Five national and multinational laboratories on Thursday received accreditation certificate from Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) as part of the organisation's process to strengthen the country's position in export business. The five laboratories are- SGS Bangladesh Ltd, ITS Labtest Bangladesh Ltd, national textile laboratory ACI Sourcing, material testing laboratory BMTI and United Hospital Medical Testing Laboratory. — UNB
No Bangladeshis among Florida shooting victims
No Bangladeshis were killed or injured in the shooting spree at the Florida high school, said Atiquer Rahman, executive vice president at the Association of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce in Florida.
