THAKURGAON, Apr 22: A Bangladeshi youth was gunned down by members of Border Security Force (BSF) of India on Dongaon border in Haripur upazila early Monday. The deceased was identified as Sumon, 22, son of Shafirul Islam, a resident of Dangipara village. Lt Col Samiun Nabi, commanding officer of BGB-50 Battalion, said the BSF members from Basatpur camp opened fire on a group of cattle traders when they went to border pillar No 357, leaving Sumon dead

Two die in N’ganj
gas line blast
NARAYANGANJ, Apr 22: Two garment workers were burnt to death and eight others injured in an explosion believed to have been caused by a gas line leak in a house at Bhulta of Rupgani upazila early Monday. The deceased were identified as Shamim, 30, hailing from Meherpur district and Rakib, 33, hailing from Jhalakathi district. A group of garment workers used to live on the ground floor of a three-storey house. — UNB
