Hamid takes oath today as President for second term
President M Abdul Hamid will be sworn in as the head of the state for a second consecutive term today (Tuesday) as parliament unanimously decided to entrust him with the Presidency for another tenure. "The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will administer his oath of office at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said. — BSS

PM returns home from London
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home from London on Monday morning, wrapping up her six-day official visit to the United Kingdom (UK). A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:47 am. — UNB

BB asks banks, NBFIs not to reveal money laundering info
The central bank has instructed banks and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) not to disclose any information on money laundering and terror financing, shared with Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU). To this effect, the Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued two separate circular letters on Sunday. "You (managing directors and chief executive officers of banks and NBFIs) are advised to be more careful in preserving information on money laundering and terrorist financing," the circular said. It also said sharing of such information is a punishable offence. — FE Report
